I remember floating through the stars in an astronaut suit, with someone giving me all sorts of information about how it works and how to float through space properly. I remember coming to a much deeper understanding of these things but don’t actually remember any of the imparted wisdom. The scene slowly became more watery and eventually faded back to earth. Though it felt as though these two things, floating through space and floating through water on earth, were still taking place simultaneously.
Brief flash of being with friends on a sunny day in a green park when rainbows began to pop up all over the skies.
Sitting at lunch with coworkers discussing pitch ideas for a new client. Some seeds were planted for several hilarious ideas and I went to work with the copywriter to mock them up and prepare the pitch. A lot of attention was paid to the details of making everything perfect and ready to go. I remember a vaguely western themed commercial that we wanted to pitch, of two men drinking together in a bar with a clever setup, along with two other equally awesome but labor intensive ideas. Once everything was ready for the pitch, we sat in the room with the client and our creative director who was giving the presentation. When she got to the slides for these particular ideas I realized that she had changed them dramatically, wanting to be “PC” with the client and as a result they didn’t even make sense anymore. I turned to the copywriter and started to ask “whaaa” and he said quietly “I know”. At the end of the dream we found out that we had won the client and would now be forced to work on all these terribly uncreative ideas that my creative director had pitched instead of ours.
